Education

Inclusive learning that builds confidence, cultural literacy and ambition.

Kajans delivers inclusive educational programmes in schools and community settings. We combine academic development, cultural literacy and creative learning to help young people build confidence, broaden their horizons and see themselves reflected in education.

Educate to Elevate

Educate to Elevate is a flexible learning and personal-development programme for young people aged 14–17 who may feel disengaged or overlooked in traditional settings. It combines academic support with personalised mentoring in a creative, nurturing environment.

Through tailored guidance, enrichment and real-world skills, participants build motivation, resilience and a clearer sense of direction. In an earlier delivery phase across five schools, 29 participants reported improvements in academic performance, self-esteem, communication and engagement.

Caribbean Arts & Culture

This six-week, cross-curricular programme brings Caribbean heritage into UK classrooms through dance, literature, music and food. Delivered across four schools and reaching more than 700 students, it explores the Caribbean’s global influence and contribution to multicultural Britain.

By embedding Caribbean studies in the curriculum, Kajans helps students develop cultural pride, awareness and critical understanding, particularly African and Caribbean learners whose histories remain under-represented in formal education.

Curriculum resources

Kajans works with schools to introduce Caribbean Studies through practical modules, lesson plans and creative resources. The materials are designed for straightforward classroom use, helping teachers diversify the curriculum and strengthen engagement, critical thinking and cultural literacy.

Carnival arts and enrichment

Our workshops, Saturday School, B6 Creative Hub and ESOL provision use creativity to build confidence, communication and cultural pride. Curriculum-linked sessions help learners develop skills, express their identity and thrive.
